26th Annual Border Governors Conference

Amidst a standing ovation and calls of “bravo” from the audience, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger congratulated Vittorio on his performance of “Cielito Lindo” a traditional Mexican song and “Nessun Dorma”, at the closing ceremony of the 26th Border Governors Conference that took place on 15th August 2008, Universal Studios, Hollywood.

The Border Governors Conference (BGC) is the largest bi-national venue to discuss and resolve some of the most important border issues affecting the United States and Mexico. The ten Border States represent the world's most important and dynamic bi-national region - with a joint economy that ranks third in the world. Governor Schwarzenegger and nine other United States and Mexico border governors attended the closing ceremony along with Secretary of State George Schultz, Secretary of the Environment Elvira, Secretary of Health Cordova and Under-Secretary of Foreign Affairs Rico and many other important people from the Mexican and American scene.
